Description
Use this winter themed, fill-in-the-blank plus drag-and-drop deck to provide your students with a fun and engaging way to practice 5-digit subtraction. The problems include a mix of skills including problems that require a little regrouping, problems that require a lot of regrouping, problems that require regrouping across zero and problems that do not require regrouping across zero. In addition to the description provided above, this level is a bit more complex than the previous level in two ways: (a) Students must decide whether or not regrouping (across zero or otherwise) is required at all in the problem. (a) Since some boxes may remain empty, students must decide (without the hint of the box) whether or not any kind of regrouping is required and if it is required, whether it is required one or more times, in each column of each problem. As in previous levels, students still have the option to use the non-graded, moveable "cross-out marks" to help with regrouping. The deck contains 20 cards, and it is set to play all 20 cards, in random order, each time the game is played. Written and optional audio directions are provided on each card. The deck is ideal for use as practice or as an assessment. This deck supports the following standard: CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.NBT.B.4 Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
