Description: In these activities, students will practice discriminating between examples and non-examples of the short vowel sounds. One deck is dedicated to each vowel. There are audio directions on every slide. Students click the picture to listen to the word and then choose thumbs up or thumbs down if it has the vowel sound they are listening for. These are no prep and self-grading task cards. They do require internet and a boom learning account, but can be used with a free version. There are 40 cards total in each deck and 20 cards will be randomly selected for each time played. Every student in the class will have a unique combination of cards and students can play multiple times and receive a different combination of cards each time. It is designed to work on a component of RF.K.2 and RF.1.2a.
