Description: US States and Regions: On each card in this deck, students will need to identify which region a specific US state is in. There are five different maps of the USA, each with the regions labeled slightly differently. The deck is set to randomize, with 25 cards playing each time. (All 50 will play via Fast Pin.) US States locations and abbreviations: In this activity, students match the 50 US states with their 2 letter abbreviations, practice spelling the names correctly, and identify each state's location on a US map. The main deck is set up so that students can work on one region at a time, and then there is a final set of cards that reviews all 50 states. This bundle also provides you with a deck for each region in case you prefer to assign the regions one at a time. Each deck has 4 cards. (Other than the Southwest deck, these individual decks are only available through the bundle.) The regions are: Northeast (CT, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT), Southeast ( WV, VA, KY TN, NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, AR, LA, FL), Midwest, (OH, IN, MI, IL, MO, WI, MN, IA, KS, NE, SD, ND) Southwest, (TX, OK, NM, AZ) and West (CO, WY, MT, ID, WA, OR, UT, NV, CA, AK, HI) Although the focus is on the states' names, abbreviations, and locations, there are some photos included.
