The first 10 cards in each deck give the root, definition, a picture to help with memory, and two examples. The next 30 cards in a deck give students practice with these roots. The cards with red borders ask students to select the root for the given meaning. The cards with the blue borders ask students to select the meaning from the given root. The cards with the yellow borders ask students to apply what they know about the roots to identify the meaning of a word. These 30 questions are presented randomly so students may repeat if needed to show mastery. Completing the 20 decks will expose them to moe than 200 roots/affixes which will help them unlock thousands of words!
