Description: If you want your students to better understand the tone of an author's writing, this one is helpful practice. Each slide presents short passages accompanied by three (tone) adjectives. Students will choose the tone words that match the passages. These decks were designed for middle schoolers so that they can better identify the mood of a selection by understanding how tone is conveyed.
