Description: This activity is designed for students who have mastered basic sight words and are ready to build a vocabulary for describing familiar items, such as food and animals. Students select the word that correctly describes the picture from three choices. All words on the page include audio support; if a student is unfamiliar with a word, they can click it to hear it read aloud. The decks are structured to target three distinct features of the same item. For example: * Simple Sentence Building 6a: ""A zebra is an animal." * Simple Sentence Building 6b: ""A zebra has stripes." * Simple Sentence Building 6c: ""A zebra is fast." Once students become proficient with these decks, they can progress to "Describe a Picture: Sentence Building 6," which offers six choices to construct three simple sentences."
