Description: In these activities, students will practice reading and writing words with short vowels, digraphs, blends, double letters, digraph blends, and closed syllable exceptions in Elkonin boxes. They will listen to the word or read the word, drag color tiles to represent the sounds, and then spell each sound in the word in the Elkonin boxes. There are audio directions on every slide and a sample slide in every deck. They are no prep and self-grading task cards. They do require internet and a boom learning account, but can be used with a free version. They are designed to work on a component of RF.K.3 and RF.1.3. *These activities may work better with the iPad portrait style rather than landscape especially if using the on screen keyboard.
