Description: This bundle is designed to provide a complete ESY summer unit focused on gardening. With a wide variety of differentiated Boom decks and hands-on activities, this resource supports students across life skills, academics, communication, and real-world application. The structured and predictable formats make it ideal for learners who benefit from explicit instruction and repetition. Students engage in gardening-themed lessons including vocabulary (“find the shovel”), yes/no identification, and functional routines such as planting a garden, watering plants, pulling weeds, and picking vegetables. Each topic includes AAC communication boards, how-to social stories, sequencing, and WH- questions to support multiple levels of learning. Writing activities include WH- picture prompts, sentence starters, and writing prompts to build expressive language. Math skills are reinforced through counting, patterns, subtraction word problems, and visual addition using flowers and vegetables. Science activities include plant growth experiments, color-changing flowers, and parts of a plant. Simple recipes like dirt cups, garden salad, and veggie pizza help connect learning to real-life experiences. Skills addressed: - Functional life skills and real-world routines - Communication, vocabulary, and AAC use - Reading comprehension and sequencing - Math skills (counting, patterns, addition, subtraction) - Science concepts related to plants and growth - Writing and expressive language development
