Description: Your English learners will have fun forming sentences about springtime in this collection of four interactive grammar games. As they play, they'll become more comfortable with English syntax and the present progressive verb structure (also known as the present continuous). The bundle contains four decks relating to the following themes: spring in the park, St. Patrick's Day, Earth Day, and Easter. Twenty-five task cards are included in each deck, and the slides are presented in random order. The sentences are illustrated with colorful drawings to support reading comprehension and vocabulary acquisition. Each sentence contains six words that follow a consistent pattern. The pattern includes the present progressive tense and a complement with the structure of determiner + adjective + noun. A range of countable, uncountable, and plural nouns appear so that students practice using definite and indefinite articles. I regularly use digital sentence scrambles to review grammar concepts with my students. They enjoy seeing the pictures, moving the word tiles, and getting instant feedback. I find that these activities can be a great bridge between receptive and productive language use. The sentence scrambles give them the structured experience that they need to confidently use the language in conversation. Supports Common Core ELA Standard L.4.1.b: Form and use the progressive verb tenses.
