Description: The Holidays Around the World Centers are a fun way for students to practice important literacy and math skills during the month of December. Each center highlights a different holiday tradition from around the world while giving students meaningful practice with key classroom skills. Students will listen, read, build words, and solve problems as they work through the activities. The themed visuals help keep students engaged while they practice skills in an interactive way. Skills included in this set: • Saint Lucia Syllables – Students listen to words and move candles to show how many syllables they hear. • Spinning the Dreidel Sight Words – Students read, build, and type sight words. • Las Posadas CVC Words – Students listen to CVC words, build them, and type them. • Russia Graphing – Students read a graph and answer questions. • Numerical Order France – Students place numbers in order from least to greatest. • Addition in Italy – Students solve addition problems. These centers work well for literacy centers, math centers, small groups, independent practice, or extra review during a Holidays Around the World unit.
