Description: In these activities, students will practice reading and writing words with digraphs and short vowels in Elkonin boxes. They will listen to the word or read the word, drag color tiles to represent the sounds, and then spell each sound in the word in the Elkonin boxes. There are audio directions on every slide and a sample slide in every deck. They are no prep and self-grading task cards. They do require internet and a boom learning account, but can be used with a free version. There are 12 decks included - 1 for digraphs ch, ck, sh, and th using pictures and audio, 1 for digraphs ch, ck, sh, th, and wh using words, and 1 of each with mixed digraphs. Each Deck has between 10-41 cards depending on how many are available for each digraph. There are CVC words mixed into the individual digraph decks to provide more variety. They are designed to work on a component of RF.K.3 and RF.1.3. *These activities may work better with the iPad portrait style rather than landscape especially if using the on screen keyboard.
