Description: Volume of Irregular Solids includes 28 interactive, self-checking task cards to help students practice finding the volume of irregular solids by counting unit cubes. These task cards are aligned with the 5th grade Common Core Measurement & Data standards, but they can be used for review with older students. Common Core Standards: 5.MD.C.3 and 5.MD.C.4 There are 28 unique cards in the deck, but the default setting is for students to be given a random selection of 20 cards during each round of play. If you want more or fewer cards to be presented during each round, change the settings before assigning the deck to your students. To do this, find the deck in your Library and click on Custom Play Settings. Then click on “Number of Cards Per Play” and change the default number to any number up to 28. The deck of Boom Cards includes a wide variety of irregular shapes ensuring a mix of easy and challenging problems. If some of the task cards are too challenging for your students, you can hide those cards using the Hide Cards feature in your Library.
