Description: Use this alien crafts themed activity to provide your students with a fun and engaging way to practice ordering numbers between 1-10. The deck includes 10 cards, presented in random order each time the game is played. Both printed and optional audio directions are provided on each card. 6 of the 10 cards task students with ordering randomly arranged numbers that when correctly ordered from least to greatest, will appear as a typical counting by ones sequence. For example, students might be asked to order the numbers 1, 5, 2, 3, and 4 from least to greatest so that the numbers are correctly arranged as 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. The remaining cards task students with ordering numbers listed in random intervals from one another. For example, students might be asked to order the numbers 9, 2, 5, 3, and 8, from least to greatest so that the numbers are correctly arranged as 2, 3, 5, 8, and 9. The deck includes 10 cards, presented in random order each time the game is played. Both printed and optional audio directions are provided on each card. The deck supports the following standard: K.CC.A.2 Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
