Description: This recycling deck will help students reinforce their knowledge about recycling and reusing everyday objects and prepare them for Earth Day. They sort items into compost, glass, plastic, paper, metal, e-waste and trash categories. Use this deck in a science class or in the week before Earth Day. This is a drag and drop activity, where students drag the items one by one and drop them into the correct bin. Standards: NGSS: K-ESS3-3 Communicate solutions that will reduce the impact of humans on the land, water, air, and/or other living things in the local environment. Examples of human impact on the land could include cutting trees to produce paper and using resources to produce bottles. Examples of solutions could include reusing paper and recycling cans and bottles.
