Description: Calm down breathing is an essential technique to learn to help children with self-regulation. Choose 1 or 2 of the breathing exercises to help to calm the body and mind at school or at home during bedtime wind-down. Slowly trace the patterns using the draggable flower as you breathe in and out. Ideas: - Use 1 to 1 with students as needed throughout the school day on a tablet. - Choose an exercise to use on the interactive whiteboard with the whole class when you need to reduce stress and provide more balance. The teacher to trace the shapes and patterns as the students follow whilst breathing in and out. Take 5 minutes at the beginning or end of the day, after break times or after lunch to practice mindfulness breathing.
