OT for Schools

About me: Welcome to 'OT for Schools' store. I am an experienced Occupational Therapist and Sensory Integration Practitioner working in community settings and school-based practice in the UK. I work directly with neurodivergent children, children with developmental trauma and children with special educational needs within mainstream schools and specialist educational provisions. I hope you enjoy and find my resources helpful. I am extremely passionate about Sensory Integration and the impact of the sensory systems on function, learning, emotions and behaviour. I have presented at school trust wide conferences, sharing my knowledge and experiences. I continue to provide training for teachers, students, SENCo’s, parents and caregivers on sensory processing differences and how to develop skills and implement strategies to support academic success and emotional well-being. I work directly with children helping them to gain functional skills, develop their independence in life and reach their academic potential. This includes intervention to develop fine and gross motor skills, visual-motor skills, perceptual skills, emotional regulation and executive functioning skills. I have attended extensive training on Handwriting Difficulties in children including a course from Dr Sidney Chu a renowned expert within the field of OT in helping children with complex needs and sensory processing disorders.
