Description: Idioms can be tricky for English language learners or students with language learning difficulties to understand. This deck shows students 10 different idioms on 20 different cards, so they see each idiom twice. The first 10 cards ask student to identify the literal meaning of the idiom in a sentence. The second set of 10 cards asks student to pick the idiom that best goes with the sentences. This is the second deck of what will be a series of 4 or more on idioms. The first one, with 12 idioms is already in my store. Deck 3 will have another 10 idioms, and Deck 4 will contain all 32 idioms from the first three decks as a way of providing review work. Idioms included in this deck: all ears, under the weather, when pig fly, couch potato, between a rock and a hard place, curiosity killed the cat, out of left field, walking on eggshells, over the moon, looking for a needle in a haystack. If you are outside the USA and after buying any of my decks find that the English is too "American", please contact me directly and I will work with you to create a more suitable version at no extra cost to you.
