Description: The Ling 6 Sounds are used to check hearing status of children who are deaf/hard of hearing who use hearing aids and/or cochlear implants. This checks to see if they have access to a spectrum of speech sounds which will access all sounds in speech. This is a great way to present sounds without having to cover your mouth. This digital activity will present the Ling 6 sounds are presented in 4 levels. Level 1: Sounds associated with pictures, presented one at a time. At this level, you will be teaching the pictures which are associated with each sound. The picture is presented but you student will not be interacting with the page at this level. Level 2: Two pictures to choose from presented with one sound. Your student will choose from two pictures which sound they hear. At this level, your student will interact with the page and select the correct picture. They will get immediate feedback regarding the accuracy of their selection. Level 3: Seven pictures to choose from with one sound. At this level, your student will interact with the page and select the correct picture. They will get immediate feedback regarding the accuracy of their selection. The seventh option is for "nothing" or "no sound". Level 4: Imitation. Sound presented with no picture.
