Grades: 14,13,1,2,3

Description: 28 unique cards; all cards are randomised for every play. Audio instructions play for the first four cards. "Look at the note on the staff. What letter name is it? Notice where Middle C is marked on the piano keys. Click on the correct piano key." At the top is a single pitch on a five-line staff using either treble clef or bass clef with up to three outer ledger lines. Only semibreves (whole notes) and minims (half notes) are used, but time values are never mentioned, so this deck can be used in any English speaking country. At the bottom is a piano keyboard with Middle C labelled. Click on the correct piano key that matches the pitch. The idea of finding the right piano key is like a road map, orientating yourself to the equator, which in piano music is "Middle C". When students learn to navigate from middle C to find where they are on the piano keys, it unlocks the world of reading music notation. Complies with audio, visual, and motor accessibility, and can be played on any device, including iPhones.
