This is an interactive speech and language Boom™ activity featuring a fun zoo theme! Students pop the bubbles to discover zoo animals. Each bubble disappears with a satisfying pop sound, revealing an animal underneath. The student responds to a where question in an errorless format and then formulates a sentence using embedded AAC and sentence strips. Sentence supports include: “We see a ___.” “We hear a ___.” This deck includes longer utterances than other Pop the Bubbles activities, making it ideal for expanding expressive language. At the end of the activity, students place all of the animals into the zoo for a great language-rich expansion opportunity. This activity is a fun way to target: Zoo animals & vocabulary Where questions Sentence building Semantics & categories Colors Early expressive language My students love the bubble sounds! They point to and identify what we find, then happily pop the bubbles again during sessions or teletherapy.
