Description: This is a fun and interactive speech and language activity. Let's feed the caterpillar! He's hungry! The caterpillar will eat various food items. Find the food. Where is it? The student will find the errorless food item. Put the food in the caterpillar's mouth to feed him. Yum! The student will tell the caterpillar to "Eat" each item. Then the student will formulate a sentence regarding what he ate. Hungry/full, where questions, feed, in, eat, vocabulary, directions, bug/insects, and sentence formulation are all in this activity. You can expand it in various ways. My resources have AAC, sentence strips, visuals, and audio supports embedded. While this can be used with the popular caterpillar book, the food items are not the same.
