Description
This is a fun deck to practice the plosive/stop sounds /p/, /b/, /t/, /d/, /k/, /g/ in the initial positions of words/carrier sentences with your students. You can have them use the sounds at the word, phrase, or sentence level if you want. You can provide a carrier phrase loaded with plosive sounds such as, "Put the pink _____ in the pretty purse" etc. Or have them generate their own carrier phrases. It is great for targeting phonological awareness, vocabulary and receptive/expressive language skills in mixed groups by having your students name all of the choices and have them describe their characteristics. Don't forget to have fun!! Words included: pear, pig, pumpkin, pancakes, boat, bat, boot, basket, turtle, top, tie, tomato, donut, dice, donkey, dart, cake, candy, kite, camel, gate, gift, candy, goat, garbage.
