Description: In this 9 Card Boom Card Activity, students can begin to count objects by 2. Counting by 2's is a very helpful skill to your 1st grade students. It creates number sense and pattern recognition, it is a stepping stone to multiplication and problem solving, and best of all it can create math confidence. In this introductory lesson on counting by 2's, students will engage in activity where they count objects that naturally come in pairs, such as shoes, socks, mittens, and earrings. To aid their Boom Card practice, I have provided voice recordings to guide them as they count these pairs by twos.
