This 31-card deck with audio support was created for students developing their phonemic awareness skills. Audio support and alt text are provided. - They will listen to a word, identify the number of phonemes, and then circle the number of phonemes in the word. - A circle is provided. Your students will drag the circle to their answer choice. -The answer choices are numbers to represent the number of phonemes. Cards 1 - 21 have one-syllable words with 1, 2, 3, or 4 answer choices. Cards 22 - 31 have one and 2-syllable words with answer choices of 2,3,4 and 5. Identifying the phonemes and the number of phonemes in a word will help students develop their decoding and fluency skills. RF.K.2.D Isolate and pronounce the initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in three-phoneme (consonant-vowel-consonant, or CVC) words.
