Description
This deck was created to help my students understand place value to the thousands place. They will use digital manipulatives to borrow and trade with the greater place value to be able to subtract larger digits. There is an empty card that can be used with any subtraction problem. I use it with my class this way: I write a subtraction problem on the board and the students use this deck in leu of manipulatives. It is a lot easier and there is no prep or cleanup. 3.NBT.A.2 Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
