In this activity, students will practice building words with the letters a, f, i, m, p, s, and t. They will listen to the word and then type each sound in the Elkonin boxes above the sound tiles. The word "fat" is repeated because it is the only word containing "f" and the previously learned sounds. Standards/Skills: This activity is designed to provide additional practice after the introduction of the letter sound short i. Previously learned letters within this scope and sequence that might be included in this activity are: a, f, m, p, s, and t. RF.K.2.d: Isolate and pronounce the initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in three-phoneme (consonant-vowel-consonant, or CVC) words. (This does not include CVCs ending with /l/, /r/, or /x/.)
