Description: Vocabulary is a critical part of expressive language skills. The larger the vocabulary, the better the quality of communication. It is also directly related to improved academic performance. Focused instruction of vocabulary words on the Boom Cards platform can be highly effective due to it's immediate feedback format as well as the opportunity to easily practice again and again. Remember to expose your students to the words in specific contexts in sentences at other times of the day so they can be internalized and begin to emerge in their day to day conversation. This deck has 30 cards for students in second, third, or fourth grades. Students have to pick one out of four answer choices.
