This drag-and-drop, Valentine's Day themed activity provides a fun and engaging way for students to practice counting up to 10 moveable objects. Students look at the number on the valentine card. Next, students move that number of candies from the bottom of the card up into the heart-shaped candy box. The deck contains 10 playing or task cards and one directions card. The deck supports the following standard: CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.CC.B.4.a When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
