Description: This activity is intended to be used with middle school, high school, and post-secondary students with special needs to discuss how to respond appropriately to first responders. This activity includes a symbol supported story entitled, “Responding to First Responders”, scenarios for teachers to work with students on where students need to answer what they would do in the situation, and printable scenario task cards. In order to prepare the stories, teachers should print them out and laminate them, so that they last longer. Scenario cards and task cards should be printed, cut out, and laminated.
