Description: **Printable book: This is a printable book that you assemble (with lamination and velcro). If you are looking for the digital book, this isn't it! You can also get this printable book in a bundle with the digital version to have both. Your students will love lifting the flaps to look for objects in the ice pond! This book targets functional vocabulary, MLU, inferencing, yes/no questions, positional concepts, and more! It has two interactive elements to keep your students engaged! (lift-able flaps and picture symbols) Also includes: A picture supported comprehension worksheet and a fun open-ended coloring activity! Read the book to the student. At the top of each page, the student is asked if Pat the panda bear caught a fish for his dinner. The student is then prompted to lift the flap (pond) and look. They will then answer yes/no (verbally or by pointing to the symbol). The student then will match the picture symbols to the box in the phrase and verbalize the phrase (“He found a _____”). Tapping the boxes as they say it (model when appropriate) encourages verbalization! Comprehension page: Use a bingo dotter, marker, or crayon to color the answers to the questions. Color-A-Polar Bear Dice Game: Roll the dice and color the part of the picture by the number you rolled! Keep rolling until the whole picture is colored. **Assembly required.
