Description: Are you looking for a resource to practice expressing opinions and understanding fact vs. opinion? This file includes 40 printable task cards that could be used to improve conversation skills, persuasive speaking skills and/or writing skills. The cards could also serve as writing prompts for persuasive writing practice. I have included a written prompt on each card (I think....because...) as a reminder for students to support their opinions with complete sentences. You could also have them practice agreeing or disagreeing (I agree/disagree .... because...). This activity could be used with a classroom or mixed speech and language groups (during distance learning, teletherapy or speech therapy sessions). Language students can practice stating their opinions with supporting details and complete sentences. Articulation and fluency students can practice their sounds or strategies in conversational speech. Social skills groups can practice conversation skills, perspective taking, and learning how to respond to others who might have different opinions from their own.
