Description: Learning and understanding categories is an integral part of speech and language development. For school-age children, they should be able to label or name a category when provided items in a group. Categories help us develop relationships between words as well as expand our vocabulary. It's important to develop associations to improve expressive and receptive language abilities. With this worksheet, your student will have 12 attempts to identify what doesn't belong from a set of three and another 12 attempts from a set of four. Encourage your student to provide reasoning as to why the item doesn't belong in the set to work towards answering "why" questions.
