Description: S.E.A.L.’s Dolch Word Card Sets are presented on both print-friendly fish-shaped cards and standard rectangles for use with various student populations. This set also includes the original Data-CAT self-graphing checklists to monitor progress and guide instruction – see at a glance which words need extra practice! A complete set of tracing cards is also included with letter starting point cues to assist with correct formation. Word cards are divided into two groups, each with a corresponding Data-CAT data collection form. The individual word cards are labeled to correspond to the respective alphabetized data sheet to allow for efficient recording of information. Teachers can introduce a select number of target words and easily determine when a particular mastery level is achieved. Additional words can then be added while progress monitoring continues on mastered words. Use Data-CAT to Collect, Analyze and Target instruction for more rapid mastery. Perfect for distance learning, cards can be sent home for printing and a simple fishing pole can be made with a dowel stick and a magnet to catch the sight word fish using paperclips. Students keep the fish they read correctly and throw back the ones not yet mastered. An additional set can be printed for use in a memory match game for further practice with students reading the cards they flip over and keeping the matched cards.
