Description: This booklet is intended to be used with the "Word Order: Silly Sentence Mix Up" card deck - Silly Sentence Mix Up! Word Order is designed to improve flexibility in the comprehension of syntactic structure in the formation of sentences. The card activities focus on the ability to rearrange and connect a set of words to form a silly sentence. Silly sentences are used to avoid predictability, provide motivation and encourage a sense of humor. An optional printable worksheet is included for illustrating the nonsensical sentences to encourage careful reading, attention to detail and assistance in monitoring progress. Students read the mixed up words, write the words in a correct sequence to form a sentence then read the completed sentence. Suggested answers are on each of the cards that follows but some of the word sets may have more than one acceptable correct answer.
