This Christmas Themed Verbs Matching Activity is a fun way to help students familiarize themselves with the different verbs. The deck includes 25 cards, each containing a sentence with a missing verb. The student is to drag the sled containing the correct verb to the finish line to get the point! CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.1.5.D Distinguish shades of meaning among verbs differing in manner by defining or choosing them or by acting out the meanings. CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.K.5.D Distinguish shades of meaning among verbs describing the same general action (e.g., walk, march, strut, prance) by acting out the meanings.
