Description: With the aim to increase Mean Length of Utterance (MLU), this deck incorporates clear bright images, sound and labels, facilitating comprehension and learning for autistic & special needs students and early language learners. Using the carrier phrase 'I see', students are introduced to adjective + noun sentences, prompting them to describe objects beyond basic labels. Initially, the student will generate three-word phrases. Then, they will construct complete sentences using these three-word phrases, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of how these phrases function within entire sentences. Features: Initial Phrase Building (cards 2-10): Students begin building phrases using two attributes by selecting the correct attributes (size + color) and noun (farm animal) to build a three-word phrase. Interactive Sentence Structure Visualization (card 11): An interactive diagram that illustrates the building blocks of sentences. It includes a mix of visuals, audio and text to help students grasp the concepts easily. Sentence Construction Practice (cards 12-20): Moving beyond individual words, students progress to formulating complete sentences by adding attributes (size + color) and noun (farm animal) to the end of a carrier phrase ('I see'). Audio Support: Each label, such as 'cow' or 'see,' has its own audio. You can also listen to the full sentence, like 'I see a big brown cow.'
