This deck reviews beginning dynamics symbols and includes 76 train-themed cards. Students get extensive review ordering the dynamic symbols of p, mp, mf and f on the train cars. This activity is a wonderful precursor to learning and understanding crescendo and decrescendo/diminuendo as students order the dynamic symbols on the train cars from either loudest to softest or softest to loudest. Piano, mezzo-piano, mezzo-forte and forte are the only four dynamic symbols used in this deck. Audio instructions are included on each card and play automatically for the first 4 cards. After the first 4 cards in the deck, students can tap on the train smokestack to hear the audio instructions read aloud for the rest of the cards in the deck. After the first 4 cards, play is randomized and students play 20 cards total at a time. Each card directs the student to put the dynamic symbols in order from either softest to loudest or loudest to softest and drag the symbols to the train cars.
