Description: With auditory discrimination practice, your adult ESL students will sharpen their ability to hear the difference between /f/ and /p/. Help them distinguish between "coffee" and "copy" among other minimal pairs for these sounds. It's easier to pronounce /f/ and /p/ correctly if you can HEAR the difference. Your students will get lots of listening practice with this auditory discrimination deck! Each card has an /f/ vs. /p/ minimal pair represented by both photos and words. This deck has only medial (light green cards) and final (light orange cards) /f/ and /p/ minimal pairs. I also have a deck for just the initial sounds and a big deck for all--initial/medial/final minimal pairs for tons of auditory discrimination practice. The audio from the gold icon will play automatically. Students can immediately drag and drop it in the box for the correct word/image or click the silver icon to listen to the other word before moving any icons. Students must place both the gold and the silver icons in the box for the matching word/image. Students can listen to the words as many times as they want by clicking on the icons. This deck was created with adult students in mind and will not appeal to young learners. This boom deck uses the same photos and minimal pairs as the digital presentation part of my F P Pronunciation for Adult ESL resource in my TpT store.
