Description: These cards are to help students isolate the '-et' family sound and will give your students practice with CVC short e words and the -et word family. There are five activities, with 7 words including sound. The words are broken into phonemes to help the students isolate the sounds. First activity: choose the correct word. Second activity: choose the beginning sound. Third activity: type in the correct beginning sound. Fourth activity listen to the sentence, drag the matching picture to the box Fifth activity; have the student read the sentence, and drag the matching picture to the box. Tips 1. Have them use their fingers to underline each sound as it is being spelled out. 1. Next, have them say the sounds as they are underlining each sound/letter. 2. Have them say the letters in a funny voice, this is a fun memory aid. 3. Have them make a sentence with the word. 4. Most importantly, have fun! If they become frustrated, it is best to put the cards away for another time. You can practice every few hours, no hurry, and no pressure!
