This 22-card deck is a great way to help your algebra students learn how to solve quadratic equations by completing the square! Cards increase in difficulty, they are scaffolded to help students master each step of the process at a time. *If this process is completely new to students, I would recommend using my Completing the Square Boom Cards first to make sure students know what value of c will create a perfect square trinomial. I also recommend using my free corresponding lesson at katesmathlessons.com The first few cards check to see that students know how to take the square root of both sides of an equation and find both solutions. Next, students are given equations with perfect square trinomials that they must factor. By the end of the deck, the students must be able to complete the square on their own, factor, and take the square root of both sides to solve for x.
