This 29-card scavenger hunt that will teach your students interesting facts about the deadliest and most destructive natural disaster on Earth - floods. While completing the hunt, students will learn various ways floods happen, what a floodplain is, what type of flood is the deadliest, and more. To complete the hunt, students answer 14 multiple choice questions. First, they read a question and its answer choices. Then they read a short passage where the answer is found. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. This is a great supplement to add to a study of natural disasters, to provide background information for a story, to have students practice reading informational text, for a reading/science center, or as an easy activity for a sub.
