Crossing the street for Early Learners contains a simple step-by-step social story about how to cross the street safely and what to do under certain conditions, such as when there is a pedestrian signal or when there is a crossing guard. It uses real pictures so it may be generalized to the natural environment more easily. The deck includes sound so it automatically reads the story and questions to the learner. Following the story are a series of simple knowledge checks. A printable, transportable, single-page visual support (a task analysis) is also provided, which outlines the basic steps of crossing the streets in pictoral and textual format. Note: Lisneyland has 2 versions of this deck. The deck "Crossing the Street Safe and Sound" was developed for older learners. This deck was written for early learners.
