Description: This is a articulation game targeting mixed vocalic /r/ in phrases in a Hangman/ Jeopardy type format. Perfect if you’re working on Articulation for older students. Students are provided with a common saying/idiom that they need to guess (12 board games in total). Each phrase contains at least one vocalic R word. Before taking a guess at a letter, students are required to practice a target vocalic R in isolation (E.g., “say /ear/ three times.). Please note, this is a teacher led activity and is not self scoring. A teacher, or helper, must be present to place the correct letters in the correct spot. Examples of phrases that are included (“Curiosity killed the cat”, “Home is where the heart is”, & “All that glitters is not gold”.). Also a great resource to target idiom comprehension and spark conversation! (Vocalic R Worksheet Bundle Including RL)
