Description
Students will practice identifying active and passive voice. They will read the sentence and choose the correct voice. Cards are randomized. Students will read the sentences. They will choose if the sentence is active or passive voice. This is a multiple choice deck with two word options to choose from. Teachers may choose to use this as an enrichment activity or as a quick assessment tool at the end of the corresponding grammar unit. The sentence in these examples are at a lower reading level so students who are learning English (ESL ELL or ML) may participate in the activity, as well. CCRA.L.1 Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking. L.8.1b Form and use verbs in the active and passive voice.
