Description: Students are presented with animated verb images (GIFS) in different places or rooms of a house. Students are asked "where" questions and given 2 visual choices of locations on the right side of the screen to select from. For example, students are shown a picture of a boy brushing his teeth in the bathroom and asked "where is the boy brushing his teeth." Students are given 2 visual choices of rooms (e.g. bathroom and kitchen). Students select the correct choice that answers the "where" question. After, students are asked the same where question again and presented with a sentence starter at the bottom of the screen. Students are presented with 2 visual choices to fill in the sentence starter. Students are then asked to formulate the sentence made up of a pronoun + verb + location. This can also be used to answer who, what and where questions by asking students all those questions after they form the utterance. This helps students expand their utterances while answering where questions, reviewing action verbs and identifying different communication places and rooms in a house. Some IEP goals that can be targeted during this activity: - Verbs - Wh Questions - Vocabulary (e.g. places, items in each room or place, etc.) - Object Function (pointing to items in the different locations and asking what do you do with it. For example, what do you do in a bed). - Expanding Utterances
