Bring Chinese New Year into your math class! These are designed for middle school Life Skills, particularly students taking the WA-AIM. This is not a test item and does not meet the criteria to use in the actual assessment. However, they would also be useful for a resource, intervention, or gen ed math class needing additional practice in identifying ratios. These self-correcting cards contain pictures of items relevant to Chinese New Year- fire crackers, dragons, lions, red envelopes, lanterns, dumplings, zodiac animals, and more. Student count the items on the card, then select the correct answer. Student will hear a “ding” for correct answer and “oops” for incorrect answer. Cards can be assigned in Google Classroom.
