This boom card deck supports students to use their voice (or talker) to ask for what they need. The deck supports students explore how they could ask for their needs and practice providing a reason when asking so they can be more easily understood by their communication partners and their goal more likely to be achieved. The deck includes matching questions in multiple choice and open response form as well as teaching pages. Within teaching pages students explore what self-advocacy is and how they can use it. They are then presented with a problem and asked to identify or write what they would say to solve it and have their needs met.
