Description: These cards support the Words Their Way Spelling Program sorts. This deck supports the Green Book, Word Sorts for Syllables, and Affixes Spellers 3rd Edition. It covers learning and practicing the rules, building the word in sounds and sorting the words into their rules as well as looking at the exceptions. This deck looks at the unaccented final syllable -er, -or, -our, -ar patterns for sort 33. **Please note - these are the UK/CDN/AUS/NZ spelling and include -OUR (ex. colour). This is NOT the American spelling version of this sort.** To not overcrowd the card, only 24 of 34 words from the sort are included. Cards include fill in the blank and drag and drop. I've created this deck to help support my 'just below spelling group who can be a bit hit and miss about identifying understanding the rule and who spend far too much time cutting and sorting the words and use it in conjunction with a digital spelling notebook. Students write the word, break it down into sounds, and sort them into rules/patterns.
