This boom card activity is designed to support topic initiation and conversation maintenance for students who have difficulty generating topics of conversation or get stuck talking only about their topics of interest. Students are provided a real picture and asked to look for clues in the environment that could help them generate a topic e.g., noticing someone is wearing a batman shirt and deciding they could ask them about superhero movies etc.
