Description: This interactive no-prep activity is an engaging way to help your students build a variety of receptive and expressive language skills with back to school object functions.. Students are presented with a teacher in a classroom. Students are given sentences with the core word "need" to follow 1-step directions with object functions. Students are able to identify back to school nouns, identify object functions and follow 1-step directions. This activity includes: - A variety of back to school nouns (e.g. backpack, pencil, crayon, scissors, lunch box, cup, apple. book, glue, notebook, eraser, bus, tissues, soap, clock, ruler, glasses & chair) - A variety of functions (e.g. cut, color, eat, drink, read, carry, see, tell time, sit, measure, wash hands, wipe nose, write in, write with, color, remove marks & stick things together) The following IEP goals can be targeted during the activity: - Following 1-step directions - Object Functions - Identifying common nouns - WH Questions (e.g. ask students what did the girl need?)
